Two childhood friends Lyn & Carla met again in a sewing class. Being separated from each other for a long period of time, they find themselves enjoying their time together in doing crafts of embroidery, crochet and quilting. In the process of being together in the sewing class, they started thinking about a seal of friendship by making a business out of the crafts they enjoy in that sewing class.
With the help of their husbands, they were able to start the craft business in a home in Mooroopna through the help of a real estate agent they met through this website. They rented and refurbished a small house in the corner of the road to the market. With the goal of sharing their joy of doing the crafts to their customers, they personally did the purchase of stocks, designed the arrangement of the store and welcome the customers.
Their personalized interaction with customers gained many clients so that within 18 months, they felt their rented space became too small to meet the needs of their growing customers. So they, explored for other space to expand their business. Just in time they were able to find a bigger space that they are able to lease for a longer time with an option to purchase after two (2) years.
Now there is no dull moment for them as they enjoy choosing fabrics, patterns, new books and notions. There are always new samples and designs they can offer to customers every few weeks and they take time interacting with customers; sharing their fulfilment and joy in doing the craft themselves.
From a shared dream to a shared passion Country Thyme Patchwork has grown into what it is today. And this is made possible with great customers who have become great friends as well.
With this they would like to thank you all with the hope that local customers enjoy their website just as much as coming to the shop with an invitation to all to come and say hello, when they have a chance.
